Lack of Son light shadows cast,
Always looking at the past.
Sins forgiven look ahead.
I Am with you, He has said.
Look ahead to future goals;
God directing future roles.
No hate, only love,
Shines from up above.
His blood, shed for me,
Guarantees eternity.
God reigns on high—
I’m the apple of His eye.
He has granted peace within,
All my joy, my life in Him.
Resting on His solemn word,
Following each command that’s heard
Produces laughter not tears,
Produces stillness not fears,
Guidance through my earthly years—
Holy Spirit always near.
No tears, only smiles
No more weary miles
Reunited evermore
Jesus Christ, the only Door.
Once accepted, He is mine.
Covered by His love divine,
I am free from sin and death.
When I take my final breath,
Here on earth I’ll close my eyes
Waking somewhere in the skies.
Present with the Lord I’ll be
