There is no one righteous, not even one. –Romans 3:10
I love the power of Thieves Household Cleaner. It is my primary cleaning agent. I feel confident about the job it does in my home—on counters, sinks, bathtubs, and even floors. Though I don’t love the work of cleaning, I love the results.
I am most motivated to get all things clean on sunny days. There is no where for the dirt to hide. Even the darkest corners are revealed. And so, I make sure to scrub them clean, even though I know I will miss places or get tired before I’ve been able to clean every nook and cranny of my home. And the cleaning results are temporary. I will have to do it again next week.
I’m so glad that though my house needs cleaning often, my heart and life have been forever cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. Jesus came into my heart when I invited Him in. He shined His perfect light into every nook and cranny of my heart. He revealed the dirt and the sin; and then, as I confessed, He cleaned it all out and gave me His righteousness. Though my own goodness was like filthy rags, I am now filled with the goodness that only He can provide. I am righteous in Him.
As you begin spring cleaning in your home this year, I invite you to consider examining your heart. If it needs cleansing, look to Jesus. He sacrificed His life and shed His blood so you could be clean. Further, He conquered death, and, in Him, you can also have eternal life.
I can think of no better time than Easter week to focus on spring cleaning your heart. There is no clean like Jesus clean.
